There are various activities influencing the soil qualities. Cambodian farmers mostly cultivate their crops by tilling the soil and applying the organic manures. Below is the review from a book of nurturing the soil, improving the people, improving agricultural practices in order to give some understanding of the Soil Management in Cambodia. Soil quality is different from a place to another; it is connected with biological, physical, and chemical fertilities that they can make the soil good structures or textures.
Tillage or residue management is a conservation practice that gives efficient, effective control of erosion and can improve soil properties and soil quality. However, crop response to conservation tillage can be widely variable. Leaving residues from a cover crop or previous crop changes the soil environment and may alter the crop response. The conservation tillage can be improving organic matter content and soil aggregation; root and plant diseases; increased soil density or compaction.
